Before we start there are a few things you will need to be download and install.

WAMP is the Windows version of Apache, MySQL and PHP

NotePad++ is a handy little tool that’s free and easy to get to grips with. It lacks some of the more advanced features of some other editors but it will do for our first steps.

Firefox is also worth downloading for it’s developer plugins.
